Gossip, Nobody's Friend
The tongue can be very destructive with damaging words and one of the most damaging destructive habits of the tongue is gossip. Proverbs 18:21a says, "the tongue has the power of life and death". When we gossip we are causing damage and destruction to the Kingdom of God and the bad news is according to James we cannot tame and begin to understand the smallest of organs in the human body. But through the grace and power of an almighty and loving God the tongue can be controlled and be turned around and used to build up the Kingdom of God and bring the Good News of salvation to a lost and dying world. James says it's impossible to tame the tongue but with God all things are possible.""The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit." Proverbs 15:4 How are you using your tongue? Date: 06/09/19 Scripture: James 3:1-10 Download Sermon
