Charles Dickens called the prodigal son story the finest short story ever written. Another described it as, "the most winsome picture of god ever drawn on earth." Yet another said it is, "the crown and pearl of all parables.” What is so powerful about this story is the amazing love of God that He recklessly and extravagantly gives to us from start to finish. No matter your love life, the story of the prodigal son is a story that reveals to us we can have a perfect ending to a tragic love story of separation. God has fixed his eyes on the horizon and He longs and waits for you to come back to Him if you haven’t already. This message is all about a loving Father giving us crazy love.
