As we Americans prepare to celebrate our freedoms on July 4th, we as Christians should reflect on the freedoms we can celebrate because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. America’s freedoms came at a high price, the sacrifices of so many on the battlefields, but those were made to secure our Earthly freedom while Christ’s sacrifice paid for our eternal freedom from sin and death, once and for all.
