From that first writing on July 4th 1776 to today 2018 we have had these celebrations and rightly so, but behind the scenes of the festivities and celebrations, of fireworks and fire flies, of parades and cook-outs, of swimming and drinking lemonade, of camping and fishing and all the great summer American past times are the sacrifices of men and women and a reminder that freedom isn't free and it is our country's flag that reminds us again of the blessing of the land of the free and the sacrifice for it.
What we all need today is the faith that drove those early Americans to fight for freedom, what we need today is a patriotic faith. To be proud to be Americans, to honor God and respect the flag that symbolizes our freedoms we enjoy today and remember that those freedoms did not come to us freely.
