Everyone wants to finish the race of life with a win and what that win looks like for people varies. Most strive to do everything they can to finish in first place and be deemed a success, but to really win in the race of life, to take the checkered flag, you have to finish second. Pastor Roland begins a first message in a sermon series titled, "Take the Flag". This sermon series will use the flags of NASCAR auto racing as a starting point to look at different aspects of faith. This message takes a look at the green flag which is the starting flag and symbolizes how we start our journey of faith. The green flag gives us permission to go full-throttle with God.
