He moved to Logan in 1988, while still on active duty, serving as the command chief at the Naval Air Reserve Center, Rickenbacker Air National Guard base.  He retired from the Navy in 1991.  Rodney met and married his wife Sherri shortly after he retired, and they have been partners in ministry for the past 31 years.Rodney was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church when he received God’s call to the ministry in 1996.  After completing the Course of Study in 2005, and being commissioned as an Associate Member of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2007, he has served as pastor for the Asbury/Starr Charge, Enterprise Charge, Hamden and Wilkesville United Methodist churches; retiring in 2013.  Rodney enjoys fishing and grouse hunting with his Gordon Setter Kenzie, and also spends a good deal of time in his woodworking shop. Rodney served as Pastor of Visitation for our church for six years, and is once again stepping back in to help as needed.
